A Way to Distribute the Existing Population

For the idea on formulating the urban regeneration strategies by taking into account physical, economic, social, environment and urban fabric, the connecting streets to the site and the surrounding is under considering by proposing new idea, including by proposing new idea, including redesign left over spaces and open spaces, the adaption of the existing buildings at the same time preserve the sense of belongings and place for the street users, nevertheless responding to the current issue – COVID19.


The COVID19 pandemic is the biggest challenges are being faced by the cities. How could we practicing social distancing while each of us still having the sense of community? Even in the shutdown, people are still need to remain active. Cities need to be adapting to the issue, and need usable spaces to accommodate physical distancing.


The strategies used on the connecting streets for people to adapt to the current situation including provide the extra spaces at the park as the community area, instead of closing the park because they are too crowded. The park is proposed with sculptures, which help to distribute the crowd by having different levels. Also, the project introducing with the multi-function streets where it can be opened up temporary space for bikes and pedestrians by taking away car lane. The bus stops located on both sides to make it fixable on changing the traffic direction. Each road is paved with texture tiles to control the low speed streets. The street furniture are separated each seat, nevertheless introducing with ‘15-minute neighbours’ with the commercial activities added at the streets.


For ending, we can’t change the density of a city, but thinking a way to distribute the existing population.
